Social Media ROI- 44 Case Studies

We are often asked to provide some numbers to our clients concerning ROI.  The questions are, “Yes, but is social media really worth the time?”, “How have other companies succeeded  with their social media campaigns?”, or “I like numbers.  Could you show me some concerning social media ROI?”.  Because of those valid and crucial decision-making (or breaking) questions, Maverick wanted to put together a few sites worth your time.  We are “borrowing” from others that have gone before us to the legwork on researching these companies, but  most of the ROI figures and case studies here are seen often by our company and others in the social media industry.

Here they are:

1.  Techcrunch:

2.  The Next Web:

3.  Kyle Lacy Blog:

4. Search Engine Journal:

Please do not stop here though.  The above companies have reached their goals because they followed a very strategic plan.  Your company can not reach its objectives if you don’t take the time to understand your business model, goals and objectives.  Once you have identified these objectives, it is time to research, create contacts and content, build and strengthen these relationships, and measure your results against targeted outcomes.  Social media is very dynamic, so don’t be surprised if what you “thought” would work doesn’t.   Being nimble and adjusting your approach is key, but with the right attitude and guidance as needed, you CAN get big returns with social media marketing.
